Native Wisdom for today: COMMUNICATION

Native Wisdom for today: COMMUNICATION

(Courtesy of the Native Wisdom for White Minds: Daily Reflections Inspired by the Native Peoples of the World by Anne Wilson Schaef)

Wisdom for the day of: Thursday, August 16, 2018

“Oh, be quiet, crow. We hear you.”
“That old crow is a messenger. He’s telling us where to go to find Aunt Millie. He is leading the way.”

– Lorraine, Aboriginal Elder.

On this trip, we were supposed to meet with Aunt Millie a ninety-three-year-old Aboriginal Elder and Keeper of Sacred Sites. But we weren’t sure where Aunt Millie was.

I have to say there was a crow whenever we stopped., and it was noisy. I did not know the language of the crow, but my companions do. Who knows, I thought, he may speak the only language of the Australian Aboriginal. That’s not it, though, because my Native friends the world over tell me that the crow is a messenger.

Animals seem to speak a universal language. Maybe if we understood and spoke the language of the animals, we wouldn’t have to translate for humans. Australian Aboriginals say that if we have nothing to hide, all of us can communicate telepathically.

We found Aunt Millie.

When I learn to listen to nature, I am never lost.

Card of the Day: YOU ARE SEEING THE SITUATION ACCURATELY

Card of the Day: YOU ARE SEEING THE SITUATION ACCURATELY

(Courtesy of Ascended Masters Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue)

Horus in Ancient Egyptian mythology was the falcon-head sky and sun God. His parents were Osiris and Isis. Horus is one the most significant deities. You may also be familiar with the ‘Eye of Horus”. This is because one of Horus’ eyes was injured in a battle of revenge of his father’s death. The Eye of Horus is a symbol of protection, royal power and good health from the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses.

With the help of beloved Horus, he can help you seek spiritual wisdom and insights with your spiritual and physical sight.

This card comes to you today, because your feelings and intuition about a situation, a relationship or an issue are true and correct. It is time for you to believe in this information.

Let go of any doubts or fears. This Divine information from your guides, Angels and your spiritual team. Believe in yourself – no matter what any skeptics or critics may say. Even if people aren’t supporting you…. trust that Spirit is!

Believe in yourself because Spirit believe in YOU!

Additional meanings of this card: Trust your intuition and gut feelings. Ignore critics, naysayers or skeptics. Avoid situations or relationships that don’t feel right for you. Only you know what is right for you.

The Seven Factors of Enlightenment – Oldest Buddhist Teachings

The Seven Factors of Enlightenment – Oldest Buddhist Teachings

These Seven factors of Enlightenment are mental attitudes or values that are from the oldest Buddhist teachings to prepare any individual to a desirable state of being mindfully aware of any situation, issue or person at any given moment.

So, let’s briefly…. look!

MINDFULNESS
The awareness and the ability to be fully present; an awareness of the reality of things; it is considered an antidote to delusion to be in a clear and relaxed awareness of what is going on around you, and to focus on any topic, person or issue. A state of no distractions.

INVESTIGATION
Investigation requires that we investigate that Dharma (Universal Truth) for ourselves. We seek our own self-reflection and consideration of reality. As the Buddha said:

“Believe nothing no matter what you read it or who said it, unless it agrees with your common season and observation.”

Buddha is suggesting here that we are not to practice the Dharma simply because he said so, rather, to understand and experience it for ourselves. Buddha wanted us to utilize our minds to the fullest capacity…. not be empty minded!

DILIGENCE (ENERGY)
Diligence means to keep on persevere and not to give up. We live in a world where there are many distractions – such as various technologies for example, or even a lack of understanding or communication. This applies to both a global and personal level of an individual. However, with great persistence, patience and perseverance anything is possible!

CONTENTMENT (JOY)
Joy and gratefulness accompanies useful thinking. It can help you see, believe and help you try something new. You aren’t practicing mindfulness, because you must; you are practicing mindfulness to transform your life; to enhance the quality of your life, to bring more contentment and joy into your life. In turn, this brings more joy, and brings an attitude of gratitude.

TRANQUILITY
Tranquility refers to our willingness to find inner peace. By inner peace, I mean to find relaxation. This represents the ability to manage one’s stress or anxiety. For example, when you take a deep breath of air in, when you are feeling upset, angry, nervous or sad…. you are engaging in tranquility. It is knowing when you need to find or need relaxation that is very important.

CONCENTRATION
Concentration is the ability to focus. When we strength our focus on our ability to concentrate, it gives us real insight into our lives. But, it is something that we must develop and strength over time. Improving our concentration helps us in many ways as focusing us on something we’re studying, new projects at work, improving our listening or verbal skills, etc. Concentration is like a lamp, the stronger it is, the more of the mind we can see.

EQANUIMITY
Equanimity is one of the deepest factors of all, and one of the hardest. It represents facing the difficulties of life, our challenges, our problems, without becoming attached to them. I know, this is a strange concept, yet, most profound! Equanimity is the ability of not allowing or the ability to let your challenges, obstacles or problems become bigger than you. In other words;  when something bad happens, we become stressed or angry about it, we often make a situation worse than it is. If we face a problem with equanimity, then we don’t let a problem become bigger than ourselves.

As human beings, we have a tendency in our lives to make things larger than they are. Equanimity is out ability to resist that. It is all about taking a different perspective of seeing things – our problems and challenges in a different light. With these Seven factors towards Enlightenment, we can learn more about ourselves, and what is truly important in our lives.

The Guest House By Rumi

The Guest House

(Written by Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi)

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Card for the Day: SACRED UNION

Card for the Day: SACRED UNION

(Courtesy of RUMI ORACLE by Alana Fairchild)

“Only the oneness of love, and the lover is eternal.
Surrender your heart into the union.
For all else in the world is momentary.”

– RUMI

Love is a unique and powerful force. Love is all around us, and there is a Divine connection in everything. We have a sacred union between our mind and our bodies, we also have a sacred union to a heart and our soul.

When you discover your own twin flame, your soul mate, your significant other – this Divine connection is uncanny. You may not understand why you feel so connected, or attracted to this person, but this unique and beautiful connection has drawn you to them.

So what if you haven’t meet this person? Don’t you fret, beloved! A Sacred Union always identifies themselves through their own mirror image. We all share a common ground, a common existence with the one person that we are meant to be with. One that has been written in the stars; it has been written in our Akashic records long before our very existence.

So when this love does occur in its own Divine time, and its own way, a sacred union between two lovers happens because of a Divine soul connection of two people.

This is truly what a sacred union is: a Divine, spiritual, accepting, sacred, mutual understanding between two people.

And so it is…..love.

With love and blessings,

Libby

Chakras: Centers of Our Life Force

Chakras: Centers of Our Life

What are Chakras?

The Sanskrit word for wheel is CHAKRA. Our human bodies are made up of 7 major chakras or wheels which balance and align our bodies into balance, harmony and peace. All of which is essential to our lives.

The 7 Chakras:

Briefly, I will explain our 7 chakras that we all have and that we can all connect to.

Root or Base Chakra/Muladhara

Colour associated with Chakra: Red
Element associated with Chakra:
Earth
1st Chakra in the 7 chakra system –
can be found at the base of the spine

Found at the root of the spine, the corresponding locations for this chakra are the perineum, along the first three vertebrae at the pelvic plexus.  This chakra is represented at the cone of energy, beginning at the base of the spine, going downwards and then slightly bent up. The root, otherwise known as the base chakra grounds us deep within the Earth, as this chakra  element is Earth. grounding our being, our spirit our everything. This chakra is known as ‘Muladhara’ in Sanskrit.

The key functions or characteristics of the root chakra are:

  • Security and safety
  • Survival
  • Basic needs: food, shelter, sleep & sex
  • Grounding
  • Supports the foundation of our lives
  • Helps in our choice for reproduction of offspring

Sacral Chakra / Svadhisthana

Colour associated with Chakra: Orange
Element associated with Chakra: Water
2nd Chakra in the 7 chakra system –
just below the naval

The sacral chakra can be found about 3 inches below the naval at the center of the lower belly. In the back, it is located at the level of the lumbar vertebrae. It should be noted that other noteworthy locations described in different systems expand its location to the genital and reproductive areas of both sexes, especially for level of ovaries for women; and the testicles for men. It is also associated with the lymphatic system. In Sanskrit, this chakra is called “Svadhisthana”;  which means “your own place.”

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Emotions or feelings
  • Sensuality,
  • Relationships or relating
  • feeling of the outer and inner worlds

Solar Plexus Chakra / Manipura

Colour associated with Chakra: Yellow
Element associated with Chakra: Fire
3rd Chakra in the 7 chakra system –
around the stomach area

The solar plexus or Manipura in Sanskrit, is a chakra of your own personal will and power, mental abilities and confidence.  This chakra is located where your diaphragm rest (in your upper part of your body) is the third chakra. The main function of the solar plexus or Manipura is to empower yourself and be more confident with your own personal and professional decisions.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Your will and personal power
  • Taking control and responsibility for your life
  • The mental abilities and intellect of self
  • Forming your own opinions and your own belief system
  • Making your own decisions
  • Clarity of judgements
  • Setting the direction towards your goals & aspirations
  • Your personal identity and personality – what makes you – YOU
  • Being confident & self-assurance
  • Self-discipline
  • Independence

At very high levels, the solar plexus can help one obtain wisdom.

Heart Chakra / Anahata

Colour associated with Chakra: Green
Element associated with Chakra: Air
4th Chakra in the 7 chakra system – located around the center of the chest area (but not where the actual heart organ is!)

Located in the center of the chest, however it should be noted that the this energy center is not located where our actual heart organ lies, rather, the heart chakra is in the center of the chest area. Drawing from feeling and expressing love for ourselves and for others in the many different forms of love, (whether romantic, platonic or family love) the heart chakra plays a vital role in learning more about ourselves and what we value.

Air is oxygen of which we breathe, we are therefore connected to all living things, and we are connected to all life. Please note that the heart chakra connects the lower and upper chakras together. In other words, in order to create harmony within our body both on a physical, and spiritual level, the heart connects this on a very deep level to restore aspirations of our inner being.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Love for oneself and for others
  • Experiencing deep and meaningful relationships
  • To have compassion and empathy
  • To be open towards transformation and change
  • Forgiveness and acceptance
  • Ability to grieve and reach peace
  • Compassionate discernment

Throat Chakra / Vishuddha

Colour associated with Chakra: Blue
Element associated with Chakra: Air
5th chakra  in the 7 chakra system – base of the throat

The throat chakra or Vishuddha;  it is known in Sanskrit meaning “pure” or “purification”. It is located at the center of the neck at the level of the throat, it is the passage of the energy between the lower part of the human and the head. The main function this chakra is drive by the principle of expression and communication.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Expression – the ability to speak your truth & to speak out
  • All forms of communications such as: whether it’s verbal or non-verbal, external or internal,
  • Connection to the etheric realms, the more subtle forms of spirit & your own intuitive abilities
  • Propensity to create and even innovate, new ideas or blueprints into reality
  • Realizing your own vocation or life purpose
  • Having a good sense of timing and time management

Third Eye Chakra / Ajna

Colour associated with Chakra: Translucent purple or bluish white
Element associated with Chakra: Light
6th chakra  in the 7 chakra system – — forehead, just above area between the eyes

The third eye chakra also known as Ajna in Sanskrit which means “perceiving” or “command” can be found between your two physical eyes on your forehead and near the eyebrow,  giving you the power to see with openness and Divine perception of your intuition. This chakra is also known as the ‘supreme element’ as it gives all of us, as we are all have the natural ability to seek our own truth, through our third eye, by using our imagination – and hence by seeing everything in its purest form. Therefore, the third eye, awakes you  of your inner being, and of your Divine truth.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Vision
  • Intuition
  • Perception of subtle dimensions and movements of energy
  • Psychic abilities related to clairvoyance and clairaudience especially
  • Access to mystical states, illumination
  • Connection to wisdom, insight
  • Motivates inspiration and creativity

Briefly in Yogi metaphysics, deeply within our own unique subconscious, the third eye or Ajna chakra carries our personal duality with our own unique “I” consciousness. It carries the duality between us and the divine, since we are all connected to the Divine. Nevertheless, you can separate personally from the “I” consciousness – and therefore be about to transcend to other dimensions, without the use of time or space, using the other five elements or chakras.

In other words, it’s about reaching yet another state of consciousness or super-consciousness, that exists independently from the rest of anything else. Granted, it does take time, patience and understanding.

Crown Chakra / Sahasrara

Colour associated with Chakra: White or Violet
Element associated with Chakra: Mind
7th chakra in the 7 chakra system – Crown of the head

The Crown chakra or Sahasrara in Sanskrit, can be translated to mean “A Thousand Petals”. Know as the spiritual connection between you the Cosmos, this powerful chakra can help you reach a state of wonder, enlightenment, and knowingness. Because it’s symbol looks like a lotus flower, you can see how spiritually, we are all evolving to be the best versions of ourselves for the highest and greatest good.

The Crown chakra opens the doors to the awareness of what we need to know. Again, we all have the ability to reach peaks of transcendence of our limitations whether that be personal, as there are no limitations of space, time or energy. We all have the ability to reach paradoxes and dimensions through a crown chakra which is the norm. As it is a wise and truthful teacher, it is always Universal and transcendent. It provides the most soul seeking lessons found deep in your subconscious.

There is a blessed and sacred union between you and the energy of the chakra. You will find a state of complete awe, bliss and spiritual ecstasy. It provides the essential wisdom of all that is, and all that will be. You will be given the upmost clarity and enlightened wisdom of what your soul needs to know – even if you are ready for it or not!

As we are all an extension of the Divine, therefore you can view the Crown chakra as a the messenger chakra. It connects you to the Universal consciousness that is linked to everything, the infinite life force energy, and to everything in existence.

The key functions or characteristics associated with this chakra are:

  • Consciousness
  • Awareness of higher consciousness, wisdom, of what is sacred
  • Connection with the formless, the limitless
  • Realization, liberation from limiting patterns
  • Communion with higher states of consciousness, with
  • Ecstasy, bliss
  • Presence

This is just a very brief look at the 7 chakras. But I’d encourage you to seek out what you believe the chakras to be. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of what a chakra is, but this is just a very short introduction to what they are.

Much love and blessings,

Libby xo

CHOOSING LIFE: Native American Wisdom – April 2, 2018

Native American Wisdom for this Day (April 2 2018) CHOOSING LIFE

(Courtesy from the “Native Wisdom For White Minds”
Daily Reflections Inspired by the Native Peoples of the World by Anne Wilson Schaef)

“When I choose life, I choose myself. I choose Creation.”

Quote from American Indian Shawnee Elder, Barney Bush:

“I started drinking more seriously, seeking refuge, seeking death actually, from a world that was feeling more and more unnatural to me. Following a painful accident related to drinking, I finally realized that I must decide whether to follow I want to follow my grandparents or to truly take up this life. Circumstances that followed led me to choose life.”

Alcohol and drug abuse is a terrible problem for Native people throughout the world. Every colonialized nation has introduced alcohol and drugs to the Native people, which has destroyed their cultures, their families and their spirituality – their own unique and sacred connection to Mother Earth.

For many Native people and Westerners around the world, alcohol and drugs are more often a welcoming sedatives to numb the hurt and burdens that shut off the pain of living in a “unnatural” and destructive system. The issue with addiction is: “Do I want to numb myself and fit into the system?” If this isn’t a viable alternative, the issue the becomes “Do I want take up this life?”

The life that the Divine and Creator has given us may be hard for others to understand, and maybe that will be some people that will never know the hardships. But to live your truth, to choose life…..and to be one to teach others about your life experiences – is truly a humble lesson for all humanity to learn. All Native people of our beautiful world have much wisdom within their souls, within their being, and since they are so much connected with our Earth, they certainly make our finest and humblest teachers on this Earth.

With love and blessings to you, all.

The Divine Download

The Divine Download

For this week’s blog I have been guided to write something that is perhaps slightly unorthodox however, I feel it is of great importance. Perhaps you have been feeling a whole range of emotions, perhaps you can’t explain why one minute you’re happy and the next you’re sad, or angry, irritable or grumpy. Perhaps you are having trouble sleeping or the opposite – you are sleeping more than you are used to. During your dreams, when you are asleep, perhaps you are going to place you haven’t been there before and encountered people you haven’t met – yet you feel such a presence or occurence of deja vu.

This is the beautiful existence of the Divine Download.

What is the Divine Download?

The Divine or Spiritual Download occurs most likely around the time of the Mercury Retrograde, since the planet Mercury is the all about communication, languages, and technology. Think of a Divine Download, like you would if you were installing software into your computer, tablet or smartphone. This download is from the Divine and your spiritual team to help you with your life purpose as you have been asked to help other people, to help lift not only your personal vibration to a higher state of peace and love, but the entire world’s!

Currently this period is taking place between March 22 to April 15 2018. It is during this time of the Mercury Retrograde that is is possible that you may experience through your subconscious (as you are asleep since you are more open to these Divine experiences) through your past lives.

What is a Past LIfe?

We all have past lives. We all have shared memories and experiences that is remembered and harnessed through our soul DNA. Like our genetics and fingerprints, our soul DNA is also truly unique. There is no exact soul DNA – we each have our own spiritual and divine journey ahead of us. This is exactly the same as you would find for everyone with different fingerprints and genetics.

Our soul DNA carries with us, through our entire being of existence, all the lessons, blessings, good karma and bad karma through each past life. This in turn, helps us, as individuals, to make the free will choices we choose in each life. Our soul helps to influence the choices that we make, but we, as 3rd dimensional beings ultimately make the last call.

Soul DNA Activation

Our Soul DNA Activation begins the moment we are born as a baby. The moment of breath, we are born into existence. Our spiritual teams are assigned the moment of our birth, and they are ultimately chosen by the Creator, the Divine, or God (or however you best resonates with you). As we grow, we can take a more active approach on our free will choices. But remember, our souls, our higher selves, and our beloved spiritual teams of guides, Angels and Ascended Masters always have our best interests at heart.

Astrological Aspects Right Now:

During this time of intense transition, in Astrology, as the Full Moon and Blue Moon helps to release intense emotions – and for many people this can be or feel like intense pain, or you may be feeling blue. This is necessarily for a couple of reasons:

1) For every Full Moon, it will give everyone a chance to release what is no longer serving them. That is not for their highest good;
2) It will give everyone both for this Full Moon and Blue Moon, a chance to release built-up emotions, to be on the path of greater emotional healing and balance. When you feel better after a good cry or letting anger out, you feel its presence not required anymore. However, during this period of time, old wounds may rise to the surface.

The below list is some of the symptoms you may be experiencing if you are going through a Divine Download: (but not limited to)

Physical symptoms of Divine Downloads:

  • Feeling tired or exhausted
  • Feeling stressed
  • Headaches
  • Sore throat
  • Lack of sleep/More sleep
  • Ringing of ears
  • Pressure on forehead
  • Pressure on eyebrows
  • Feeling Emotional
  • Lack of appetite

The Divine or Spiritual Download should not be painful or hurtful. You can ask your guides for help and support. If any of these physical symptoms keep on consisting for more than 2 weeks, please see your doctor or medical professional.

During the period of the Divine Download, just try and enjoy the experience. You were given this amazing and blessed gift for a reason. But it is important to look after yourself during this process. Self-care and love is essential during this time. Like any form of technology, (computer, tablet or smartphone) it will take a little bit of time to reboot your system, however, don’t worry, you are in blessed and Divine care every step of the way with the Creator and your beloved Spiritual Team.

Keep the faith, all will be well.

Blessings,

Libby xo
