Saturn Retrograde 17 April 2018 – A TIME OF REFLECTION

Saturn Retrograde 17 April 2018 –  A TIME OF REFLECTION

Saturn Retrograde 2018 starts on April 17 at 9° Capricorn and ends on September 6 at 2° Capricorn. The planet Saturn, is the planet of wisdom, discipline and of karma. During this time of transition, this Saturn retrograde is a time where karma is being sorted out, by time and space.

On a karmic level, things may seem blurry to you. Everything in existence – the past, presence and future is now rolled into one. Karma is seen as both good and bad, both as a way to teach as valid lessons of life, of existence, and both in this current life and from past lives. With this current Saturn in retrograde, the karma that you have gathered from all your learnt lessons, from all your lives, will related to how responsible you have been in the past.

This isn’t a test,  but more a curiosity state of reflection. The lessons associated with Saturn retrograde relate to your thoughts, words and actions. It will be especially challenging for individuals who have a history of teasing or verbally abusing others. Gloomy thoughts, bad news, loneliness, could have a negative effect of your mental state of mind.

During this Retrograde phrase, it is a time to focus on a positive state of mind, however it may intensify or you could find it difficult to have negative thinking, once Saturn goes direct on September 6, you will develop an understanding of why you may have developed these depressive moods.

Try not to allow negative thinking to stop you from achieving your dreams and aspirations. While, we can’t control the words, thoughts and actions of other people, we can certainly control our own. We can also learn to communicate clearly and have patience with others as well as ourselves.

Briefly, Saturn in retrograde want to ensure that we are all making the right life choices for ourselves in terms of our professional lives, our ambitions and our long-term goals.

With all retrogrades they don’t last forever, and it just ensure a time that is need to make us all stronger, courageous and braver people.

With love and blessings,

Libby Saturn

Quote for Thought: from Ascended Master, BUDDHA

Quote for Thought: from Ascended Master, BUDDHA

buddha-quote-what-we-think-we

I must be honest and say that I actually heard this quote clairaudiently (clear hearing) earlier today. I felt it was special message not only for myself, but I intuitively felt that many other people need to hear this message as well.

Buddha believed in living a humble and modest life. Buddha also believed that life does include suffering yet in life there needs to be the essence of compassion, understanding and kindness to every living thing. Compassion in Buddhism, is more understanding others, but also understanding of oneself through wisdom. Buddhism is more than just a religion, it’s a way or life.  Buddhism can briefly summed up in three points:

  • To lead a moral life
  • To be mindfully aware of our thoughts and actions, and
  • To develop wisdom and understanding

So when Buddha says “What we think, we become” it applies to who we wish to be – what path or direction we wish to take.   If we wish to change our lives, our future, our path, we can – it comes down simply to our passion, our motivation, our drive, our aspiration towards who or what we wish to become.

So is change possible? Absolutely! If you wish to change one aspect of yourself, or even to have a complete makeover, this is indeed possible. There is only one, unique and beautiful you! And you are beautiful!

Since there are many different dominations of Buddhism, because of the emphasis changes from country to country due to the different customs and culture, however the essences of the Dharma or Truth of Buddhism doesn’t not change.  I am reminded of Zen Buddhism, which has originated out of China. The essence of Zen is to immense yourself into it.

What I mean is, if you want to become healthier, fitter, mindful, patient, loving, kind, assertive or anything else – you just need to immense yourself into it! If you want that job, or if you want to finish that course, or if you want be more financial stable, or anything else that you wish to be –  it’s time to immense yourself into this moment….to think and become who you truly are!!

Your mind, is your master and teacher. Be present in this moment, be thankful, be grateful. All will be well.

Blessings

Native Wisdom for White Minds

Native Wisdom for White Minds:

Daily Reflections Inspired by the Native People of the World

By Anne Wilson Schaef

For April 17th:  WALKING WITH THE WAKAN-TANKA

“Remember and think about the closeness of the Wakan-Tanka (The Great Spirit, or the Creator) if they believe in this wisdom, it will give them endless strength and hope. “

 – Frank Fools Crow
Lakota Chief and Spiritual Leader, American Indian

Frank Fools Crows was one of the clearest and most powerful people I have ever known. Never was I in the presence of anyone who was consistently walked so close to  the Wakan-Tanka. His entire life was devoted to treading the spiritual path and healing those who came to him. Just being in his presence was a source of strength and healing, and he shared his knowledge and wisdom with all who came. He never discriminated.

For Fools Crow, Waken-Tanka, was not an abstraction Wakan-Tanka was a friend, an adviser, an expert, a physician, a colleague and a constant companion. Wakan-Tanka was a sponsor and a mentor,. Wakan-Tanka was a boss, always, and one only had to walk the path of the Wakan-Tanka and consult with Wakan-Tanka in all one’s affairs. And Frank Fools Crow did.

Wakan-Tanka is not an abstraction of our lives. Wakan-Tanka is our lives.

Chakras: Centers of Our Life Force

Chakras: Centers of Our Life

What are Chakras?

The Sanskrit word for wheel is CHAKRA. Our human bodies are made up of 7 major chakras or wheels which balance and align our bodies into balance, harmony and peace. All of which is essential to our lives.

The 7 Chakras:

Briefly, I will explain our 7 chakras that we all have and that we can all connect to.

Root or Base Chakra/Muladhara

Colour associated with Chakra: Red

Earth
1st Chakra in the 7 chakra system –
can be found at the base of the spine

Found at the root of the spine, the corresponding locations for this chakra are the perineum, along the first three vertebrae at the pelvic plexus.  This chakra is represented at the cone of energy, beginning at the base of the spine, going downwards and then slightly bent up. The root, otherwise known as the base chakra grounds us deep within the Earth, as this chakra  element is Earth. grounding our being, our spirit our everything. This chakra is known as ‘Muladhara’ in Sanskrit.

The key functions or characteristics of the root chakra are:

  • Security and safety
  • Survival

  • Grounding
  • Supports the foundation of our lives
  • Helps in our choice for reproduction of offspring

Sacral Chakra / Svadhisthana

The sacral chakra can be found about 3 inches below the naval at the center of the lower belly. In the back, it is located at the level of the lumbar vertebrae. It should be noted that other noteworthy locations described in different systems expand its location to the genital and reproductive areas of both sexes, especially for level of ovaries for women; and the testicles for men. It is also associated with the lymphatic system. In Sanskrit, this chakra is called “Svadhisthana”;  which means “your own place.”

The main function of the solar plexus or Manipura is to empower yourself and be more confident with your own personal and professional decisions.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Your will and personal power
  • Taking control and responsibility for your life

  • Independence

At very high levels, the solar plexus can help one obtain wisdom.

Heart Chakra / Anahata

Colour associated with Chakra: Green
Element associated with Chakra: Air
4th Chakra in the 7 chakra system – located around the center of the chest area (but not where the actual heart organ is!)

Located in the center of the chest, however it should be noted that the this energy center is not located where our actual heart organ lies, rather, the heart chakra is in the center of the chest area. Drawing from feeling and expressing love for ourselves and for others in the many different forms of love, (whether romantic, platonic or family love) the heart chakra plays a vital role in learning more about ourselves and what we value.

Air is oxygen of which we breathe, we are therefore connected to all living things, and we are connected to all life. Please note that the heart chakra connects the lower and upper chakras together. In other words, in order to create harmony within our body both on a physical, and spiritual level, the heart connects this on a very deep level to restore aspirations of our inner being.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Love for oneself and for others
  • Experiencing deep and meaningful relationships

5th chakra  in the 7 chakra system – base of the throat

The throat chakra or Vishuddha;  it is known in Sanskrit meaning “pure” or “purification”. It is located at the center of the neck at the level of the throat, it is the passage of the energy between the lower part of the human and the head. The main function this chakra is drive by the principle of expression and communication.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Expression – the ability to speak your truth & to speak out
  • All forms of communications such as: whether it’s verbal or non-verbal, external or internal,
  • Connection to the etheric realms, the more subtle forms of spirit & your own intuitive abilities
  • Propensity to create and even innovate, new ideas or blueprints into reality
  • Realizing your own vocation or life purpose
  • Having a good sense of timing and time management

Third Eye Chakra / Ajna

Colour associated with Chakra: Translucent purple or bluish white
Element associated with Chakra: Light
6th chakra  in the 7 chakra system – — forehead, just above area between the eyes

The third eye chakra also known as Ajna in Sanskrit which means “perceiving” or “command” can be found between your two physical eyes on your forehead and near the eyebrow,  giving you the power to see with openness and Divine perception of your intuition. This chakra is also known as the ‘supreme element’ as it gives all of us, as we are all have the natural ability to seek our own truth, through our third eye, by using our imagination – and hence by seeing everything in its purest form. Therefore, the third eye, awakes you  of your inner being, and of your Divine truth.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Vision
  • Intuition
  • Perception of subtle dimensions and movements of energy
  • Psychic abilities related to clairvoyance and clairaudience especially
  • Access to mystical states, illumination
  • Connection to wisdom, insight
  • Motivates inspiration and creativity

Briefly in Yogi metaphysics, deeply within our own unique subconscious, the third eye or Ajna chakra carries our personal duality with our own unique “I” consciousness. It carries the duality between us and the divine, since we are all connected to the Divine. Nevertheless, you can separate personally from the “I” consciousness – and therefore be about to transcend to other dimensions, without the use of time or space, using the other five elements or chakras.

In other words, it’s about reaching yet another state of consciousness or super-consciousness, that exists independently from the rest of anything else. Granted, it does take time, patience and understanding.

Crown Chakra / Sahasrara

Colour associated with Chakra: White or Violet
Element associated with Chakra: Mind
7th chakra in the 7 chakra system – Crown of the head

The Crown chakra or Sahasrara in Sanskrit, can be translated to mean “A Thousand Petals”. Know as the spiritual connection between you the Cosmos, this powerful chakra can help you reach a state of wonder, enlightenment, and knowingness. Because it’s symbol looks like a lotus flower, you can see how spiritually, we are all evolving to be the best versions of ourselves for the highest and greatest good.

The Crown chakra opens the doors to the awareness of what we need to know. Again, we all have the ability to reach peaks of transcendence of our limitations whether that be personal, as there are no limitations of space, time or energy. We all have the ability to reach paradoxes and dimensions through a crown chakra which is the norm. As it is a wise and truthful teacher, it is always Universal and transcendent. It provides the most soul seeking lessons found deep in your subconscious.

There is a blessed and sacred union between you and the energy of the chakra. You will find a state of complete awe, bliss and spiritual ecstasy. It provides the essential wisdom of all that is, and all that will be. You will be given the upmost clarity and enlightened wisdom of what your soul needs to know – even if you are ready for it or not!

As we are all an extension of the Divine, therefore you can view the Crown chakra as a the messenger chakra. It connects you to the Universal consciousness that is linked to everything, the infinite life force energy, and to everything in existence.

The key functions or characteristics associated with this chakra are:

  • Consciousness
  • Awareness of higher consciousness, wisdom, of what is sacred
  • Connection with the formless, the limitless
  • Realization, liberation from limiting patterns
  • Communion with higher states of consciousness, with
  • Ecstasy, bliss
  • Presence

This is just a very brief look at the 7 chakras. But I’d encourage you to seek out what you believe the chakras to be. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of what a chakra is, but this is just a very short introduction to what they are.

Much love and blessings,

Libby xo

Card of the Day: CHOOSE PEACE – PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA

Card of the Day: CHOOSE PEACE – PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA

(Courtesy of the Ascended Masters Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue)

Peace isn’t about being alone, nor choosing to give up, although for many people, they would say peace would mean these definition.  However, I can’t speak for everyone, so I will just express my own interpretation. You’re welcome to come up with your own conclusion.

Peace is more surrendering for me. It’s not actually about giving up a situation or a problem or a person. Nor is it about being alone. In truth, we are never really alone, even though we seem to feel like it at times. We are constantly surrounding by people we love – both in the physical and the in the spiritual worlds.

Peace gives us understanding of a situation or a conflict. Remember there are two or more sides to every single story. It is also about not taking a side, but rather gathering information about everyone’s side. The more information you gather, then you can decide for sure what further action (if necessary) to take next. The ultimate decision is yours.

While I have very much written about peace on an individual level, on a global level, we need to find peace within our world. If we are unhappy with what our world leaders are doing – there are ways to make our voices heard – it is choosing peaceful options: protesting, writing, and even using social media – both to do research to expand our own world knowledge.

While the world energy is changing, so too are we. Peace is very hard to do on a global level. We need to start to listen and understand one another. As Yogananda believed that all world religions and cultures are all connected and have a pathway towards Divinity, isn’t it time to find that common ground? We still have a long way to go, and we may not have all the answers, but with peace anything is possible.

Peace and understanding lead to love – love for your fellow human beings. We are one…..we are all truly connected.

Paramahansa Yogananda (born: 5 January 1893 – died: 7 March 1952)

is very famous for his book ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’ which introduced both Indians and Westerners to teachings and philosophy of Kriya Yoga and meditation. Yogananda’s teachings through his books emphasised an oneness with all spiritual and religious paths, and to focus upon a deep connection with God/The Divine/The Universe. You can call upon Yogananda when you need guidance on your own spiritual path, or when you need help for creating and developing your own yoga and meditation practices.

Blessings,

Libby

“I am divinely guided each and everyday.”

(Courtesy of the 111 Beliefs to transform your life from ordinary to extraordinary by Kerrie Bernhard)

To some degree, your life was mapped out before you were even born. You had a plan and a list of experiences that you wanted to live in this lifetime. As part of that plan, you made soul agreements with others and with Spirit who are all helping you to guide you with your purpose and destiny. Believe that you are being divinely guided and follow this guidance to help you fulfil your blueprint and life plan.

Card of the Day: THE MOON & SECRETS

Card of the Day: THE MOON & SECRETS

(Courtesy of the Dreamtime Reading Cards by Laura Bowen)

I thought to write what the writer, and artist Laura Bowen who is of Aboriginal Australian descent of what this card means to her. Her indigenous connections are to the Worimi/Birpai people of the Manning River area of New South Wales in Australia.

We will experience a New Moon in Aries on Sunday, April 15th which aligns with the planet Uranus. This is a positive change as well as the ending of the Mercury Retrograde as Mercury will then go forward! Yay!!!

Anyway, the card reading for today…..

“Although in a lot of traditional societies, the moon is associated with femininity, but I had always thought it to be male. It is because of this fact it is associated with secrets and mystery, Traditionally what we call ‘men’s business’ or ‘women’s business’ were gender-specific and not shared with the opposite gender. The Moon is very powerful. It controls the cycles of the oceans and the female womb. During the full moon, it offers periods of illumination. As it wanes down the dark moon, the earth is once again returned to darkness and questioning.

The Moon is a messenger offering the knowledge that life continually cycles – you may never have all the answers or understanding of why things happen the way they do, but you can be assured the cycles continues as the moon moves through its phrases. You have times of power and times of stumble in the darkness. There will be answers that are illuminating and moments where your emotions  will feel overwhelmed by unanswerable questions.

At a time of feeling unsure, it may be wise to remember your personal power and your inner light. Take action and responsibility for the life you are living. the moon represents a time for making intentions, for seeking answers, and acknowledging your own power.”

With love and blessings,

Libby xo

Card of the Day: ASK FOR HELP FROM OTHERS

Card of the Day: ASK FOR HELP FROM OTHERS

(Courtesy of the Angel Answers Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue)

“With A Little Help from My Friends……” is the famous song by the late Joe Cocker and is ringing loudly in my ear. This card is a direct and divine message for all of us to know that it’s okay to seek help and support from those whom we trust.

When we have a support team that values us, understands us, and love us the goals become more manageable, achievable, realistic and worth all that hard work and the wait!

We have our beloved spouse or partner, friends, family members, not to mention our furry friends too! This network that is your ‘wonderful warrior world’ and a whole network here on Earth that gets you, and definitely has your back no matter what!

Nevertheless, there’s also a wonderful network of Divinity support of Angels, Archangels, Ascended Masters, Spirit Guides and Spirit Animals that get you too!

Never feel that you walk alone on this planet, because there’s always support around you……don’t be afraid to ask for support, guidance and help when you need it!!!

Divinely conquer your goals…..you’re worth it!

Libby xoxo

Crystal of the Week: ROSE QUARTZ – INNER CHILD

Crystal of the Week: ROSE QUARTZ – INNER CHILD

(Courtesy of the Crystal Reading Cards by Rachelle Charman)

Week Commencing on Monday April 9th, 2018

Crystal: Rose Crystal
Crystal Colour: Various shades of Pink
Related Chakras:
Heart

Rose Quartz is famous for is gentle nature stone of love and compassion. With it’s nurturing and healing proprieties of kindness, soft yet subtle energies – will help you open up heart to receive love, compassion, understanding and kindness towards your inner child.

We all deserve to feel safe, and secure within our being. As children we seek to find comfort, warmth, nurture, security and safety with people whom we trust – this more than likely our immediate family, our parents, our siblings, our grandparents, our friends, our teachers, – who all play a vital role in being our protectors and guardians.

However, sadly and tragically not all children are so luckily to have all these trustworthy and honorable people in their life. For children are born so innocent, angelic and perhaps naïve and are very impressionable at the very early stage of their life. Yet for many people worldwide childhood traumas have uncovered a range of issues once an individual reaches adulthood – addictions,  crime, poverty, homelessness, unemployment drugs, mental illness, health issues, and unfortunately, may become part of a seemly never-ending and unbreakable cycle of trauma, loss and conflict.

Yet, there is always a choice of free will. We all have an inner child – even as an adults. We all need to understand that it’s okay to show a vulnerable side of ourselves, even to remember our own inner child. For this crystal for this week is a gentle reminder that your own inner child needs to be acknowledged. While we can’t change the wrongs of the past, we can determined the rights of the future. We can learn to begin again, to see the love, the kindness of our own hearts, through our inner child.

Now, this card does strongly speak about love, compassion, kindness and indeed forgiveness of ourselves. (and perhaps of others – however, it should be noted this is a personal decision.)  We may experience old and painful wounds that do need to be released with the help of our inner child.

While still experiencing the Mercury Retrograde which ends this week, the powerful energies will still intensive as part of releasing, surrendering and letting go as this will help us all in our emotional healing.

So in brief:

  • Deepening self-love and acceptance
  • Opens your heart to accept unconditional love
  • Enhances compassion, gentleness, and nurturing of the soul
  • Brings self-fulfillment and inner peace
  • Supports individuals going through divorce or separation

It also should be noted that forgiveness doesn’t mean that you forgive a person or situation (this is a personal choice and it’s up to you). However, you wish to surrender this emotion to the Divine in order to move forward, and to help you heal in a healthy way. You can always speak to a qualified and professional counsellor or therapist to help you find the root cause of your emotional issues.

Remember, that we are ETERNALLY LOVED by the Divine and your Spiritual Team.

With love and blessings,

Libby xoxo
