Native Wisdom for today: TRAINING

Wisdom for the day of: Tuesday, May 29, 2018

“A thoroughly trained mind, and broadly cultivated heart are luminous in the soul of the nation.”
– The Reverend Akaiko Akanko
Hawaiian Kupuna

We in the West have done well in training the logical and rational parts of our minds. But training our minds involves more than just parts of the brain.

The mind cannot be trained without the heart, and indeed the entire being, and trained brains have difficulty of how to be. Hawaiians can teach us how to “cultivate our heart.” A cultivated heart helps our minds know that we benefit from openness and loving. Minds alone do not relate well. We need relationships across cultures if we are to evolve as species and as a planet.

Minds debate. Hearts relate.

Native American Wisdom by Geronimo…for today

Bulls of Nature

Native American Wisdom by Geronimo…for today

“When a child my mother taught me the legends of our people; taught me of the sun and the sky, the moon and the stars, the clouds and the storms. She also taught me to kneel and pray to Usen for strength, health, wisdom, and protection. We never prayed against any person, but if we had aught against any individual we ourselves took vengeance. We were taught that Usen does not care for the petty quarrels of men.”

Walk the Good Road: Native American Wisdom

Walk the Good Road: Native American Wisdom

“When I was a young man and I went to a medicine-man for advice concerning my future. The medicine-man said: ” I have not much to tell you except to help you understand to help you understand this earth in which you live. If a man is to succeed on hunt or the warpath., he must by governed by his inclination, but by an understanding of the ways of the animals, and the natural surroundings, gained through closed observation. The earth is large, and on it has many animals. The earth is under the protection of something which at times becomes visible to the naked eye.”

Card of the Day: CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Card of the Day: CHANGE YOUR LIFE

(Courtesy of Archangel Power Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue & Radleigh Valentine)

“A sudden revelation that offers freedom. Break free of procrastination. Embrace the opportunities that change brings.”

This card is very fitting for the Spring Equinox that has been spoken about in such depth here – not only by me, but many other people in the spiritual and astrological communities. It is now a great time for change…..renewed change.

Today’s change has a simple message for you: change is imminent. It is inevitable since change is always occurring; both good, bad and the in between change.

For all of us, we will be given the opportunities to change the things in our lives that we wish to change. There’s no use in fighting things that we cannot change. For example, we  perhaps can’t change our family members  – but we can change how we react to our family members – in different ways in thinking and in coping techniques in dealing with stress.

We can stop procrastinating on the things that we say we make or have time for – but for one thing or another; we get distracted,  tired, overworked, or stressed; it doesn’t get done. Life is too short – and there’s nothing holding you back from getting things done: both commitments to things you really want to do; and those you really prefer not to do!

Archangel Chamuel, (also known as beloved St Anthony in Catholicism )  who is an Angel who help us find whatever we are seeking (Yes, this does including time & resources!) He views our world from a high vantage point who can help you find your true path and calling in your life. Chamuel, as well as other Archangels Michael and Raziel can help you learn more about esoteric information.

Embrace all the Divinely guided opportunities that are ahead of you, no matter what. Call upon your Angels and spiritual team for guidance and support if you need to.

Have a safe and blessed weekend

Card of the Day: QUEEN OF CUPS (UPRIGHT)

Card of the Day: QUEEN OF CUPS (UPRIGHT)

(Courtesy of China Tarot Cards based on Traditional Tarot)

Queen of Cups

Remember: In Tarot cards – there’s no gender even though in many of the cards there’s gender ‘assigned’. However, people of either sex or sexual preference take on the traits of the cards. Please keep this an open mind when learning this about Tarot cards.

The Queen of Cups is a very nurturing and tender loving energy. She is very balanced energetically, particularly when it comes to her emotions. The Queen of Cups also have much love and compassion for all people who seek her wisdom and knowledge. Definitely the words of a wise, spiritual teacher come to my mind when I see this card.

The Queen of Cups is wiling to help any, even the underdog, if they want help and assistance. However, the Queen of Cups does set very clear boundaries with herself and with other people. She knows when to say no to any obligations to both people and projects.

This card also may represent that someone who may come in the days, weeks and months to come in your future will give you unconditional love. This could be a new friendship or a new romantic partner.

It’s best to listen to your own intuition of what this card means to YOU.

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Tarot blessings to you, all!

Love Libby xoxo
