The Chakras and Chakra Balancing
What are Chakras?
The Sanskrit word for wheel is CHAKRA. Our human bodies are made up of 7 major chakras or wheels which balance and align our bodies into balance, harmony and peace. All of which is essential to our lives.
The 7 Chakras:
The 7 chakras are as follows:
- Root or Base Chakra/Muladhara
- Sacral Chakra / Svadhisthana
- Solar Plexus Chakra / Manipura
- Heart Chakra / Anahata
- Throat Chakra / Vishuddha
- Third Eye or Brow Chakra / Ajna
- Crown Chakra / Sahasrara
Our Chakras can become blocked, underactive, or overactive. It can throw an individual off balance in many ways: physically, mentally, emotionally and spirituality.
For example: have you ever experience an occasion in your past where you just felt ‘off’ for some reason. Perhaps you can’t understand why you are in an emotional ‘fog’ as emotions can have a profound impact on our chakras. Another instance could be that you have suffered a sore throat or laryngitis – and these are signs that you may have an unbalanced throat chakra.
Generally speaking, our chakras within our bodies will tell you when they’re “off”. Our bodies have an excellent way in communicating of which ones are affected. When you consider all the signs you are experiencing, if they are physical, emotional, mental or spiritual, the odds are that they are centered around the area of the affected chakra.
Why do we need to heal the chakras?
Our chakras have a profound impact on our life experiences even on a daily basis. It is these daily life experiences that are imprinted energetic patterns into and within our chakras. These deep influences impact on the work in which the chakras or wheels work in our human bodies. Negative experiences have a particularly strong impact as they often result us in us raising our defenses within ourselves, towards other people, translating all these suppression or contraction of manly negative emotions (for example: anger, bitterness, resentment) of the life force energy flow through our chakras.
This is what happens when a Energy Healer Practitioner speaks about a chakra blockage. Even though these imbalances are describes as either “closed” or “blocked” chakras. It is more accurate to use the images to diminution or increase of energy flow. When a chakra is ‘blocked”; this means that the amount and quality of energy it produces and flowing through it is highly reduced.
Chakra healing aims at supports a balanced flow of life force energy throughout the whole body or even specific parts of the body. It simple depends on which chakras need this life force energy.
